We on the United States Naval Ship Alan Shepard wanted to take a moment to
THANK YOU for your thoughtful care package!
Your boxes were very well received and your thoughtful gifts help lessen the
distance we feel from home while we are so very far from our beautiful country.
Seeing the crew open them was a little like Christmas morning joy.
We wanted to say that while the gifts in the box were very thoughtful, indeed, the
hand written notes are definately our favorites and they are hung in offices and on
mini fridges around the ship :)
I've got a note from a young man named Jake with a family of 5 and it makes me
smile when I see it, I think of my own family of 5, whom I MISS.
Our crew are busy supporting our US Navy and NATO friends as they bring the
waterborne fight to those who would bring harm to our freedoms and way of life.
